Article 1: The Art of Allowing and the Vibrational Gap
Introduction:
The concept of “The Art of Allowing” revolves around how much you, in your physical form, allow your connection to your broader, expanded self. The key question of life is about bridging the vibrational gap between who you are in the moment and who you truly are.
Key Points:
- The vibrational gap is what drives behaviors like drinking alcohol, using drugs, or buying unnecessary things.
- You were born with an internal guidance system that helps you recognize this gap.
- The better you feel, the more vibrationally aligned you are with your true self.
Conclusion:
Understanding and closing this vibrational gap is the essence of living a fulfilled life.
Article 2: The Law of Attraction and Your Vibrational Stance
Introduction:
The Law of Attraction states that you attract what you focus on. However, it predominantly responds to the vibrational stance of your inner being, not just your conscious thoughts.
Key Points:
- When you focus on lack (e.g., not enough money), you block abundance from flowing into your life.
- Your physical form is inherently “selfish” in its desires, but the Law of Attraction responds to your inner being’s vibrational stance.
- Your inner being immediately aligns with wellness, kindness, and positivity, even when your physical self struggles.
Conclusion:
Aligning your thoughts and emotions with your inner being’s vibrational stance is key to manifesting your desires.
Article 3: The Stream of Life and the Art of Allowing
Introduction:
Life is like a powerful, ever-flowing stream. The Art of Allowing is about learning to navigate this stream without resistance.
Key Points:
- Everything you desire is downstream; nothing you want is upstream.
- Paddling upstream (resisting the flow) leads to struggle while letting go allows the stream to carry you effortlessly.
- The stream of life is benevolent and always moves you toward well-being.
Conclusion:
Surrendering to the flow of life and releasing resistance allows you to effortlessly receive what you desire.
Article 4: The Emotional Scale and Vibrational Alignment
Introduction:
Your emotions are a guidance system that indicates whether you are in vibrational alignment with your true self.
Key Points:
- Positive emotions (e.g., love, and appreciation) indicate alignment with your inner being.
- Negative emotions (e.g., fear, and doubt) signal misalignment.
- You don’t need to make huge leaps; small steps toward better-feeling thoughts can shift your alignment.
Conclusion:
By reaching for the best-feeling thought available to you, you can gradually align with your desires.
Article 5: The Power of Self-Acceptance and Letting Go
Introduction:
Self-criticism and resistance keep you pointed upstream, while self-acceptance and letting go allow you to flow downstream.
Key Points:
- Criticizing yourself or regretting past actions keeps you stuck.
- Giving yourself the benefit of the doubt and being kinder to yourself helps you release resistance.
- Your inner being never joins you in self-criticism; it always supports your worthiness.
Conclusion:
Making peace with where you are now is the first step toward allowing your desires to manifest.
Article 6: The Creative Process and Vibrational Escrow
Introduction:
Life’s contrasts naturally lead you to desire more, and these desires are stored in your “vibrational escrow,” waiting for you to align with them.
Key Points:
- Step 1: Life’s contrasts cause you to desire.
- Step 2: Source energy tends to these desires and holds them in vibrational escrow.
- Step 3: Your work is to align vibrationally with these desires by reaching for better-feeling thoughts.
Conclusion:
When you ask, it is given. The key is to move in the direction of what you’re asking for by aligning with it vibrationally.
Article 7: The Call of Source and the Flow of Life
Introduction:
There is a powerful call from Source Energy, urging you to move forward in the stream of life.
Key Points:
- The more you live and experience, the more your expanded self grows.
- Law of Attraction responds to this expanded version of you, creating a faster-moving stream.
- If you don’t keep up with this stream, it can feel overwhelming.
Conclusion:
Trusting the flow of life and allowing yourself to be carried by it leads to effortless manifestation.
Article 8: The Downstream Mindset and Manifestation
Introduction:
A downstream mindset is about trusting that everything you want is already flowing toward you.
Key Points:
- Struggling and working hard often indicate an upstream mindset.
- Letting go of the oars (releasing resistance) allows the stream to carry you.
- Life begins to appear as you envisioned when you align with the downstream flow.
Conclusion:
By adopting a downstream mindset, you allow life to bring you everything you desire effortlessly.

We call these gatherings “The Art of Allowing” because the question of life is really only about how much you, in your physical form, are allowing your connection to that broader, expanded version of you. We want to get to the long and the short of it quickly here today. We want you to always remember that if you have any separation, vibrationally, between who you’re being in this moment and who you really are, that is the gap that you are seeking to fill. That’s the gap that makes you want to drink alcohol. That’s the gap that makes you want to use drugs. That’s the gap that makes you want to buy one more thing and bring it home. That’s the gap you’re always trying to fill. The gap that you’re trying to fill is the vibrational gap between you and you.
A wonderful thing has happened to you, though. You were born with a guidance system within you that helps you to always be aware of that gap. You can tell by the way you feel at any moment whether you are far, vibrationally, from who you really are or whether you are close, vibrationally, to who you really are. The better you feel, the more vibrationally in sync you are with who you have become. So, we want to give you the big picture of all of this. We want you to understand. Some of you have been hearing us talking about the Law of Attraction, and you are aware that the Law of Attraction says that you get what you think about. The Law of Attraction says that that which is like unto itself is drawn. That when you are beating the drum of “not enough money,” you cannot, during the beating of that drum, allow more money to come into your experience.
But there is a part of the Law of Attraction that most of you, in your physical form, don’t fully grasp. You’re selfish, and greedy—we love that physical form! You cannot help but be selfish. Can you? Don’t use that word in a negative way. Selfish perspective: the way I see the world, my vibrational point of attraction. So, in your physical form, there are all kinds of things that you selfishly want from your physical perspective. But we want you to remember that, of course, the Law of Attraction is responding to that part of your thought content. Certainly, it is. But the Law of Attraction—oh, you’re really going to like this—the Law of Attraction is predominantly responding to the vibrational stance where your inner being stands, of who you have become.
Are you following that at all? Do you get it? That when someone’s rude to you, you want them to be nicer, and the inner being part of you takes that stance immediately? Do you know that when you’re rude to someone, you want to be nicer, and the non-physical part of you takes that stance immediately? Do you know that when you’re sick and you want to be well, the non-physical part of you takes that stance immediately? And so, what we are really saying to you is that the sicker you are in your physical body.
The better the non-physical part of you is. The reason that we are beating this drum a little more than usual here is that we want you to remember that all-important thing that so many of you have forgotten. And that is that the Law of Attraction now is responding to this vibrational being that you have expanded to. Wrap your mind around this: the Law of Attraction is responding to who you have become.
And because the Law of Attraction is responding to who you have become, there is a powerful current that is calling you forward. You’ve heard of the call of Source, or the call of life, or the call of the wild. You’ve heard the calling, the calling, the calling.
We want you to understand that there is this powerful stream. And when you don’t go, you don’t feel so good. You must keep up with you, or you cannot bear it. And the more life you live, and the more life causes you to ask, and the more that expanded part of you becomes the new and improved, expanded version of you, and the more the Law of Attraction responds to that new and improved, expanded version of you, then the faster your energy stream moves. And the faster your energy stream moves, the more important it is that you keep up with it. Because if you don’t keep up with it, that fast-moving stream will beat you up.
We see so many of you putting your boat in your stream, so to speak, and you immediately, almost humanly, instinctually, in a sort of madness that’s passed on from generation to generation, turn your boat upstream and begin paddling. And we say, “Dear friend, there is this incredible ride going that way.” And they will invariably say, “Oh, Abraham, that just seems lazy. All of the monuments and statues are given to those who turn upstream and work really, really hard.” And we say, and this is the thing that we want you to always, always remember: nothing that you want is upstream. Not one thing that you want is upstream. Everything is downstream.
And you know how we know? Because we’ve seen you before you came into your body. We see you now, you’re here. We see you giving birth to these rockets of desires, and we see you expanding. And we see the Law of Attraction predominantly responding to this powerful becoming that you have become.
And we can see this river current, as Jerry and Esther, and their friends are on the river in Colorado. Their river guide said to them, “This is not Disneyland, folks. We cannot turn this river off.” And that is our message to you today. A good title for the new workshop: “This is Not Disneyland.” The river of life is big and real and always moving. And the Art of Allowing is learning to navigate in the stream.
And the first thing that you must understand in this stream of life is that it is benevolent, and that it adores you, and that it takes you to all of the places that you want to be, and that you may trust it. You hear people talking about surrendering. You hear people talking about letting go and letting God. And we say that is the message of the stream. So, when you hear someone saying something like, “Well, I’m not doing so well,” they will say, “I have an illness, and I am going to find a healing.” And we say, as we hear them talk about the healing, they are pointed upstream. If they were feeling for the wellness, they might very well be pointed downstream. And so, we’ll be talking all day here today about the upstream thoughts and the downstream thoughts.
We want you to get a sense of this powerful stream and it’s inevitably taking you with it. In other words, when you go downstream, releasing all resistance, we want so much for you, in the hours that we are together today, to get such a sense of who you are and such a sense that there is only one stream that is flowing, and it is this stream of well-being. And how everything that you have become is downstream.
And that that stream, because of the powerful Law of Attraction, is calling you forward. And when you allow yourself to relax and release and go, life is good. And everything you want will flow into your experience.
Your vibrational escrow is full of all kinds of rendezvous points with all kinds of wonderful people and places and experiences. And when you realize that the creative process—life causes you to know what you want—step one happens naturally. And step two is not your work anyway. That’s the work of Source. That’s the work of the Law of Attraction.
That’s the work of that which you would call God. That’s the work of the answering of the request. When you ask, it is given. Every single time. What a good name for a book! We wanted a longer title. We wanted the title to say, “So, I come forth from non-physical into physical form, and I’m pure positive energy. As I’m coming forth, and as I come into my physical body, I’m exposed to all kinds of contrast, which causes me to give birth to constant rockets of desire.
And the rockets of desires then flow into non-physical, where they are tended by Source energy. And the vibrational escrow is completely continuing to gather. And as I am in my physical form, and I’m listening for the call of Source, and reaching for the best-feeling thought that I can find, and letting the stream carry me toward it, and I close that gap. Now, I’m coming into vibrational alignment with what I want. And now, what I’ve been asking for is given to me.”
But they said it was much too long, and we like the short version anyway because it says it all: “When you ask, it is given.” The question is, are you moving in the direction of what you’re asking for? Sometimes, our physical friends say, “I’m working very hard to achieve my goals.” And we say, “Then you’re not allowing it to be given to you. You’re pointed upstream.” Sometimes, our physical friends, after they listen to us for a while, and we talk about this delicious, pure positive energy of love and appreciation here in the vibrational alignment of who you are, and we talk about the opposite end of that emotional scale, where you feel some fear or some disempowerment, where you feel all of those negative emotions that are an indication that you are not in vibrational alignment with who you are—sometimes, our physical friends, as they get the sense of this emotional scale, and they know how wonderful it is on this end and how really not wonderful it is on this end, they say, “I will apply the processes. And I will take, in our analogy, I will get into my boat, and I will turn it, and I will put a motor on it, and I will move into vibrational alignment with all I am wanting.” And we want to say to you, that you don’t need to put a motor on your boat. When you understand the stream, just let go of the oars. You don’t even have to turn the boat around. When you stop paddling upstream, the stream will turn you and take you in the direction of everything that you want.
And if you just could remember that—if we could whack you—oh no, it’s not whacking, it’s zapping. If we could whack you across the head and imbue you with a memory, it would be of your worthiness. It would be of value. It would be of your rightness. It would be of the reason that you came forth. We would club you until you understood that you can’t get it wrong and that you never get it done. You are pure positive energy beings, having the life experience that is causing your expansion. And when you allow yourself to turn and go with the flow, your greatest work right now, no matter where you are in relationship to whatever it is that you want, your work is to make peace with where you are now.
Think about the difference. Think about the difference of being here. Let’s say you’re sick, or don’t have enough money, or your lover left or never came, and here you are, standing in the absence of something that you really want. And you’re trying to feel which way is downstream and which way is upstream. And so, you begin just offering a series of statements to see what your stance is. And right away, you say something like, “Oh, I should be doing better than I am doing.” Is that upstream or downstream? And is it making peace with where you are, or is it struggling against where you are? So, what we want you to feel when you say, “Oh, I really want more money, but I don’t have enough, and I’ve never had enough. I hardly know anybody who has enough. My parents don’t have enough.” Is that upstream or downstream? And is it making peace with where you are, or is it struggling against where you are? So, well, you’ve already figured it out. Let’s all go to the beach! [Laughter]
So, when you understand that your life is right here and now—in other words, in every moment, all of your power—you don’t have the power to go from despair into appreciation. You don’t even have the power to go, in this moment right now, from doubt to belief. You can barely make it from doubt to hope. You don’t have the power to make these huge vibrational jumps. But you will have a lot better chance of turning and letting the stream carry you if you are making an effort to be nicer to yourself about it. If you’re making an effort to give yourself the benefit of the doubt. And you know why? Because the last thing in this world, or any world, that your inner being will ever, ever do is to join you in self-criticism or criticism of anyone else, for that matter. In the moment that you decide to club yourself about the head, that’s our work. In the moment that you take issue with something, or you regret something, or you say, “I should have done it differently,” anytime you are trying to explain how wrong you are where you stand, you’re pointed upstream. And every time you’re trying to give yourself the benefit of the doubt, you let go of those oars, and the stream turns you. And as the stream turns you, now, all kinds of things begin to flow into your experience. In fact, friends, you can’t stop them from flowing into your experience. But you know what happens to so many of you? You have something that you really want. You might have wanted it for a long time. There might be several things you’ve created. Every one of you—oh, you should see the vibrational escrow that you have amassed. And so, the stream and the powerful Law of Attraction is carrying you, just like the Colorado River that Jerry and Esther, and their friends were experiencing. This stream is having its way with you, whether you are going willingly or not. But many of you are paddling so hard upstream that even though the stream is carrying you, you’re missing it all because you’re pointed in the wrong direction. In other words, you’re not in the attitude of expectation. You’re not in that soft attitude where the rendezvous can take place in a way that you can receive an awareness of it. Where if you are tuned in, tapped in, turned on, if you are chilled, if you are life, if you are loving you, if you’ve got your feet in the bay if you’re petting your cat if you’re looking for reasons to feel good if you have trained yourself into looking for reasons to feel good if you are not even reaching for the best-feeling thought you’ve ever found, but you are reaching for the best-feeling thought you can find from where you are, if that becomes your mantra, now you’re pointed downstream. And now, life begins to appear to you in just the way you knew when you made the decision to come forth into this physical body.
Let me know if you need further refinements!
